You only have one Memory Stick? you should either do 2 x 8GB = 16GB or 2 x 16GB = 32GB. that way you can have Duel Channel Performance.

Side note: Intel (at least from what i understand not coffee lake x chips) chips have lower TDP than Ryzen, Intel has Hyper-threading > AMD SMT. + OPTIMIZATION for Intel Architecture is everywhere,
