Is this supposed to go along with UC-Berkeley getting literally lit up because of protesters protesting Milo Yiannopulous just being there?

http://abc7.com/news/uc-berkeley-protests-over-breitbart-editor-turn-violent/1732731/

...Like, I've never really heard of this person or his website until this just popped up on the news. Is it worth knowing more beyond that?

Nope. He's a dipshit editor of a stupid website that they're suddenly backpedaling on to say "Well it's just satire xD"

That being said, they should've let him speak. Considering one of the core tenets of fascism is suppression of free speech.

That's just it though. Snippet from the that link I found:

Among the reasons: "We were unable to accommodate the long list of requirements that were set forth by Milo's team." The group also noted that safety was a concern given the violent protests at several of his events.

But an additional note in the post appears to contradict some of the reasons given in the initial letter, stating: "To clarify: we are not canceling the event due to the threat of protestors. Milo canceled on us due to the fact that we could not meet his accommodations."

To me it seems that while it's still a denial of free speech, he had enough say-so in the matter in calling things off.

Also I'm trying to get a different confirmation on some CNN figure of 150 people showing up specifically to Berkeley to start violent shit.

People have grown tired of the insular and aggressive stance that the left has taken.

Liberalism failed. It failed to provide results, it failed to provide happiness, and it is failing to guarantee people their rights.

Their desire to shut down the speeches of others shows a growing insecurity in their power.

The more violent they become, the more we win.

I disagree with you, I've heard him talk about issues concerning feminism on YouTube and he speaks very well and raises some good points. He's clearly not stupid, or a 'dipshit' by any means.

No, he's definitely not stupid. He has raised value in criticism against feminism to new levels and, in some respects, I respect him for that and even enjoy his rhetoric.

But when it comes to political views, or personal expression (ironic considering he is gay, and the shit that he said about them) I couldn't disagree with his views and rhetoric more. The way he speaks is confusing and comes off as some edgy, bible-thumping, and conservative dick-sucking fever dream. For instance, something I mentioned earlier, he values species genetics more than personal expression by telling gay men to "Get back in the closet" Seriously? He backs this up with some flimsy IQ references and an argument of "Well it would be better for everyone if you were just straight." Nice! What an incredible argument.

That's somebody I would classify as a dipshit.

What an eloquent well thought out argument.

You might have a point, if he was a comedian. Or if Breitbart was The Onion. But in the former case he's an editor, and in the latter, they aren't satire.

I didn't know having a job somehow exempts you from being funny or charismatic as an individual, outside of reporting. My God, my eyes have been opened!

No it doesn't exempt you from being those things, but when you publish articles on a fucking news site you have to either go in with the assumption that the person you're reading is comedian first, and an editor second, or is a journalist to be taken seriously. It's an important distinction to make. And it's fine if you have your political ideology inform your comedy. That's what John Stewart did. But you can't just publish these retarded articles on a website masquerading as a news site, and then say "Oh it was just satire". That's a bullshit excuse.

Yeah the riot is completely disgusting. Violence is never an answer and it de-legitimizes anything they've said or might've said in the wake of it.

I feel in a way that everyone who sits back and records the riots are, in a way, perpetuating them. Like, instead of coming in and stopping this shit (the only guy i've seen was that Fed-Ex dude who ran in and stopped a bunch of people from burning a flag) they just take a video, post it, the media catches wind of it, goes out and shoots a bunch of of peaceful protests (possibly a mile or so away from the violence) to downplay it and it ends there. riots happen, shit gets destroyed and nobody does a damn thing about.

You know how people say that there is a gun culture in a America? Which they attribute that to our impenetrable resolve to keep gun control to a minimum? I feel like there is a riot culture slowly working its ways into the lining of our country. Where school/ social area shootings are being replaced with riots and public destruction. Everyone sees it and denounces it, but in the back of their minds they're like; "yea, its bad... but meh...."

This sort of apathy is going to cause more problems than they'll ever dream of fixing

This is complete madness. The man is if nothing else one of the most honest politicians we've ever seen. He's doing all the things he said he would do XD.

I don't see how they could possibly not see they're the villains here. How can they not see how horrible they are? They have to! There is no way they could be so ignorant. I think this proves the whole tolerance and anti-bigotry BS is a facade. A guise so they can have a free pass to do what they want without backlash. Its pretty common to use self righteousness as a smokescreen to be a blatantly evil person.

Fuck man, I follow this shithole subreddit called GamerGhazi, and some of the stuff they post is crazy. They are entirely for

"punching nazi's". One article they shared had this incredible gem:

The tendency to abhor the violence of its chosen enemies while relativizing and legitimating its own is an intrinsic part of any imperial or colonial ideology, and a consistent feature in the rhetoric of both Hitchens and Harris.

So fucking close, if only they could redirect it at themselves. The greatest part about these nazi punchers, is they actually start quoting Hitler to justify it. In one of his speeches, he claimed the only way to destroy the Nazi Party was to destroy it with utmost brutality. The problem with people that quote this, is they only quote this. It's actually an alternative to a solution he gave one sentence prior, which was to be aware of his ideals and do nothing at all. However the elites decided to start screaming antisemite, instead of addressing the real worker's plight, that Hitler supposedly linked the Jews to. The original DAP would have gone nowhere had Hitler not been a challenging little cunt who could frame the shit out of his arguments.

If only the Democrats had spoken to the people, instead of abusing any word with the suffix -ist. Don't scream at Trump in the election, just carry on as usual and occasionally laugh at the buffoonery. Attacking a fool as anything serious is only going to demonstrate your even more egregious foolishness.

... those old racism techniques ...

Uhh sir I'll have you know that you can't be racist against white people. As you know, racism is power + prejudice. Whities are in the position of the oppressor, while colored people are the oppressed. Since the colored folk do not have power, they cannot be racist. Silly facist, you need to get your facts checked!

Since some people have proven they don't know what sarcasm is I'll say it now. This is sarcasm.
