    So I want to switch to Arch Linux...

    I personally love Arch, it's a simple distributions focused on elegance and minimalism. I felt in love with Arch's package management system, Pacman. Arch's community is great, considering the large collection of PKGBUILDs in the AUR provided and maintained by the community. Arch is all about customization, only installed what you need. Why having installed tons of packages you barely use? Arch is a rolling release distro, which means you'll get the newest version of packages as soon they're available. I consider Arch as one of the fastest distro's (besides Gentoo ^^). If you follow Beginner's Guide, you'll have set-up an Arch system within minutes. I personally like Arch with SLiM as display manager, Xfce together with Compiz as DE and Emerald as WM.

    Let's get a few things cleared.

    I can really recommend you not use Skype. I hate the fact how it handles it's traffic. It's too easy to obtain an IP through skype, just by talking to the 'victem'. Either use Skype through a proxy/VPN or don't use it at all. There're plenty of IM/VoIP services which are much better than Skype.

    Apparently, the new kernel-update didn't really like me and kept fucking up my Arch Linux System. I love Arch Linux too much to use a different distro, I tried running Gentoo with a custom kernel, but, I just don't like it's package management and the fact that it has to compile each package before you can install it. So, guess what, back on Windows till the next kernel release which will hopefully get me Arch system working again.

    Out of curiosity, why do you use notepad++ through wine as editor? Gedit has the same functionality as notepad++ and even better if customized correctly. Gedit > notepad++.

    It's indeed the PS1 variable which can be set in various ways, but the most common one is using ~/.bashrc. # # ~/.bashrc # # If not running interactively, don't do anything [[ $- != *i* ]] && return # Aliases alias ls='ls --color=auto' # PS1 PS1='┌──\[[\033[1;31m\]\u@\h\[\033[0m\]]─\[[\033[1;31m\]\W\[\033[0m\]]\n└─── #! ' More info: Click... @JCharles Why running notepad++ through wine while you can use gedit instead? Gedit > notepad++.

    As I'm on Linux, I use Code::Blocks for C/C++ development, Eclipse for Java development and I'm currently using Aptana for both Ruby and PHP development.

    The version of the SOCKS server, either 4 or 5. Do some re-search on SOCKS proxies, please ;).

    I'm very proud of you that you know how to use (a) Reflector. I requested the whole MinecraftProtocol class, not just the single slightly obfuscated MetaData class. Nice try though.

    If you don't trust it, don't use it, no need for replying such worthless trash. Mind posting the MinecraftProtocol class? Ps; PWN4G3's terrible. Notorious should work on his threading and his HWID. They suck. Can't expect too much from a language which is over 15 years old.

    Your First Language

    I believe it was PHP, both for web-development and CLI usage (IRC bot(s)). Started moving on to LUA and Perl after I got bored with PHP. The most-used language I'm working with now is C#. I'm also studying C++ but it has a bit of a low priority at the moment.
